This workshop focuses on rising in to access another's offered loft, weight and structure and on giving/aiming one's weight, both incrementally and in an instant, offering levity to the dance. Developing an interplay with the physical forces present and offered in the dance as a primary interest, we will cultivate lightness, buoyancy, support, playfulness, responsive recovery and mutuality in the dancing. This workshop is for people who have had a continuity of study and practice of contact improvisation, and are interested in exploring a range from the meditative and subtle to athletic, buoyant dancing.
